I discovered Cambodia in 2006. After having toured the country several times by motorbike, I decided to come and settle there permanently in 2011. I lived for 5 years in PPenh, then I settled in Sihanouk in September 2016. Passionate about motorbikes, I have toured Cambodia several times via the tracks (which are disappearing more and more). I live as a couple with a Khmer woman. We opened a women's clothing store for a year then sold the business to a Khmer man. I took private Khmer lessons during my 5 years on PP plus lessons at the IFL and at the Link school (now closed). I'm also learning Khmer writing (not easy for a European) but it must remain a "leisure-pleasure". I love Cambodia for its authenticity, its climate, the kindness and welcome of the Khmer people. Apart from my "Khmer studies" I practice sport every day, I like motorbike rides, fishing, snorkeling and photography, and also Khmer cuisine. Cambodia is my adopted country. I feel good there and respect it.
