Hello everyone !!! Well, it’s our turn to come and live on the island! Alexandre and Damien, 31 years old, currently in Drôme Provençale in mainland France. Damien has just had an offer in a hair salon in Saint Denis, so neither one nor two, we're going for it! No particular ties here, the family who can often come to see us during the year. So we're still going to come scouting in March, because beaches and palm trees look great on Google, but this is a total life change. As far as I'm concerned, my name is Alexandre and I'm a trader on my own, so I'll try to find work locally and if it's not in commerce then it will be something else, I'm not looking... We made some quotes for the move but the most profitable thing is still to sell everything and buy back on site! We will leave only with our suitcases and our little 4-legged daughter weighing 3 kilos. As for real estate, there seem to be quite a few apartment offers, we're not looking for something exceptional in a budget that's not too high either, we'll move again when I find a job. We have already read quite a few posts here from people who are happy to have left, of course there are others who complain about everything and nothing, people who discourage you from coming to settle down: life is expensive, people are racist, there is violence, there is the rainy season, the unemployment rate is enormous... etc etc Do they forget how sad life is in the metropolis?
