French Canadian Language Engineer

As an AI Language Engineer you contribute your expertise in language and computational linguistics to develop and fine-tune natural language processing (NLP) systems to ensure they accurately understand and generate human language. You work with other teams to optimize language models that power various AI applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop natural language processing code specific to French (Canadian) language
2. Automate and integrate workflows from diverse systems
3. Contribute ideas for innovative approaches and product features relevant to a specific culture or market
4. Provide clever solutions to complex problems
5. Giving support, focusing on customers, embracing technology, managing self-development
6. No people management accountabilities

Competencies:

1. Native fluency in CANADIAN French
2. Ability to classify and retrieve information
3. Knowledge in natural language processing, machine learning or related sub-field
4. Development in iOS or Mac OS X
5. Familiar with Java, Python and Shell scripting
6. Creative and critical thinking
7. Expert troubleshooting and problem solving skills
8. Available to work onsite at the client's premises
9. User driven focus
10. Experience with one or more version control systems, with a preference for Git

Qualifications:

1. 1 year of experience in Engineering; proven track record in delivering product-quality code
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
3. Native speaker of French (Canadian) with the ability to work in English speaking environment
