APEX an importer and distributor of fresh and frozen perishables and represents a portfolio of leading and well known FMCG products. APEX distributes not only to the HORECA industry but to the retail trade too.

APEX is looking for a high-performing, vibrant and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team in Seychelles. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team's potential, crafting sales strategies, and driving the business forward. The Sales Manager will take ownership of HORECA's Key accounts to ensure that APEX delivers the best service to the various HORECA operations across the Seychelles islands.

The candidate will be responsible for the range of the products that Apex offers including perishables such as fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen and chilled meat, and dairy products. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in the Food Service industry including selling perishable produce (both chilled and frozen) as well as FMCG products into the HORECA sector. Candidates must have prior experience in dealing with chefs, F&B managers, purchasing managers and group purchasing managers.

The candidate must be sales driven, someone who can continuously seek new and innovative ways to improve our service to the end consumer.

The HORECA Sales Manager would be responsible for the following:

• Focused on business development, growth and achieving sales targets.

• Sales of fresh, frozen, and dry produce into the hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality establishments in the Seychelles.

• Continually looking to grow the basket of products that are sold to the HORECA industry

• Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company's customer base and ensure its strong presence

• Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing a sales team.

• Successfully managing all key accounts

• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs

• Maintaining and developing relationships with various managers in the hospitality industry.

• Identifying market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

• Reporting back to the General Manager on the market trends

• Ensuring that budgets set are achieved

• Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

The position will pay a market related salary dependent on experience. The company will also provide a car and a cell phone contract for the incumbent. Accommodation is the responsibility of the incumbent; however, the first month's rental will be covered by the company. One annual return airplane ticket to the original country or residence is also included in the package.

Skills

Skills, Qualifications, and experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of sales experience to the HORECA industry specifically in food and beverage

• Proven Sales management experience

• Sound knowledge and understanding of the HORECA market

• Experience dealing with chefs, food and beverage and procurement managers

• Experience in selling perishable produce both fresh and frozen

• Successful managed and led a sales team that have consistently met or exceeded targets

• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

• Strong business acumen and industry expertise

• Experience in living and working outside of their home country

• Flexible and able to operate in a diverse and dynamic market

• Excellent track record of developing winning customer relationships and partnerships including key accounts.
