Hippo Lodge Urban Camp is located right on the Zambezi River in Katima Mulilo, in the heart of the KAZA Park, one of the largest transboundary conservation areas in the world, famous for it's spectacular wildlife

Formerly known as Caprivi Strip, the Zambezi Region is a verdant paradise in the north east corner of Namibia.

The location is quiet yet close to the town centre, making it ideal for tourism purposes. The beautiful tree coverage on the property creates a natural and relaxing atmosphere.

Katima Mulilo serves as the central hub for tourism in the Zambezi Region and neighbouring countries, connecting through Katima Mulilo's Mpacha Airport or the main transit routes.

From Hippo Lodge Urban Camp, the border to Zambia is only 3 km away and in a 40 min drive tourists reach the border to Botswana. All tourists pass through this town, making it ideal for tourism purposes.

The adjacent nature reserve guarantees unrestricted and unobstructed access to the river and offers a retreat for many bird species as well as for the resident hippos.

The property are owned by us (we are German), and the title deeds are in place, ensuring a smooth transfer process. It is located in the urban area of Katima Mulilo, so foreigners can also buy them without any problems. A waiver, as required for farmland or communal land, is not necessary.

We bought the erf in 2024 and have constructed the Hippo Lodge Urban Camp, which is almost finished, it will be completed in July 2025. The reason why we want to sell is because we realize that we are too old and unfortunately no longer in good health. We are open for a partnership.
