Architecture Malarkey

A blog charting my Architect-led thoughts having returned to London after a year and a half living abroad. Warning; this may not be that 'ex-patish', but hopefully give some interesting insights into what's going on in this city.

Dilemmas of an Algerian Girl in London

I don't really like the word blog, but it seems pointless to fight it, this is a blog. If you want to know more about an Algerian girl who lives in London and struggles with thoughts that are beyond her remit of understanding, stories of society and social climbers of love & deception and a status of seemingly eternal singlehood, then you're in the right place...

Anthropologist Abroad!

Curious what life is like when you live abroad? Wander on over. Half the time it's rave reviews about something old I've found, but I do talk about culture, tradition, and what makes life tick in general. This isn't really meant to be a how-to on getting by as an international as I'm barely figuring these things out on my own. These writings will focus on more of the broad experience of getting to know England and its differences from what I've grown up with as well as the learning experiences. There will be silliness and plenty of photos of both extraordinary and everyday life, and of course, all thoughts are my own personal ramblings unless otherwise stated.

Kitty In the City

The blog Kitty In The City is founded by two female expats who currently live in London. Far away from their friends and family; day-in day-out they work in a high-pacing environment to build an international career. They try to survive without the local pub where everybody knew their names and swapped the good old-grand-ma bike for an Oyster-card. Kitty In the City is the go-to for burning questions such as 'What to do when getting Lost in Translation', 'How to survive a Hangover at work' or 'How to date International Cultures'.
