Rivas Legal Solutions is a Spanish law firm based in Torre del Mar, on the Costa del Sol (Málaga), working in English and Spanish.

We focus on cross-border matters: inheritance and probate involving Spanish assets, and property transactions for non-residents and expatriates. Many of our clients are heirs living in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands or Scandinavia who have inherited a home in Spain, or who need to sell a property that belonged to a relative.

A point that often comes as a surprise: a Spanish property cannot be sold until the inheritance has been formally processed in Spain. We guide families through that process from start to finish, including the Spanish probate procedure, inheritance tax filings, registration of title and the subsequent sale.
