I am a licensed psychological counselor (Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie, Germany) and Gestalt therapist offering psychotherapy and counseling for internationally mobile adults. I work with English- and German-speaking clients living in Germany, China, or elsewhere in Europe who are navigating life transitions, cultural adjustment, emotional difficulties, or questions of identity and belonging. Sessions are available online and in person in Frankfurt am Main.
I provide psychotherapy and psychological counseling for internationally oriented adults who live between countries, cultures, or professional worlds — including Germans temporarily residing elsewhere in Europe while maintaining a connection to Germany.
My work is grounded in Gestalt therapy and informed by psychodynamic thinking. At the heart of my practice is an open, empathic, and dialogical relationship in which your experience can unfold without judgment. Therapy is a space where everything that is present — confusion, contradiction, vulnerability, strength — is allowed to be there.
In Gestalt therapy, awareness is central. Together, we pay close attention to what is happening in the present moment: emotions, bodily sensations, relational patterns, inner conflicts, and the way you shape contact with yourself and others. Often, difficulties are not only about external circumstances, but about unfinished experiences that continue to influence how we respond today.
Inner polarities may create ongoing tension, such as:
freedom and responsibility
ambition and exhaustion
closeness and distance
stability and change
Rather than resolving these tensions quickly, we explore them. By becoming more aware of how they operate within you, new possibilities can emerge.
Over time, this deepened awareness can help you reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside or overshadowed. In the therapeutic process, clients often rediscover inner resources and develop a stronger sense of agency — not through pressure or advice, but through experiencing themselves more fully and taking ownership of their choices.
My clients are often academics, professionals, self-employed individuals, scientists, or people in bi-national or culturally complex life situations. I offer sessions in English or German, depending on your background.
With 12 years of personal expat experience in China, I understand the psychological impact of relocation, cultural transitions, and living between different environments. This lived experience informs my sensitivity to intercultural dynamics while keeping the focus on your individual process.
Sessions take place online or in person in Frankfurt am Main. For clients based in China, I offer online psychotherapeutic counseling.
If you are looking for a reflective and psychologically grounded space to deepen awareness, work through unresolved themes, and grow into greater responsibility and inner clarity, I would be glad to accompany you.
