Since 1994, the British International School (BIS) has been teaching students in Moscow and providing an exceptional international education that inspires curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
Two Programmes
International programme:
Ages 2–18, following the English National Curriculum. Children are fully immersed in English from day one. EYFS, IGCSE, and A-Level programmes prepare students for global opportunities.
The programme is taught by our highly qualified teachers from the UK and Commonwealth countries. For students who learn English as a second language, we offer a special EAL (English as an Additional Language) course which provides intensive mini-group lessons in grammar, pronunciation, reading, and writing.
Russian programme:
Ages 6–18, following the Russian Federal State Educational Standards, with in-depth English learning.
Comprehensive Learning and Development
BIS goes beyond academics. Our students enjoy a balanced school day with time for rest, outdoor play, and freshly prepared meals. Younger children can stay until 15:30, or until 19:00 in our after-school programme.
Over 25 after-school clubs inspire creativity and skill-building, from robotics, coding, and 3D modeling to chess, ballet, drama, football, and mental arithmetic. Students also have access to sessions with psychologists and speech therapists.
