After the recent protests and demonstration marches against the government, things at present in Istanbul at least seem to have returned to normal. We will just have to wait and see what the future hold for us. I must say that after living down on the Turkish Mediterranean coast for the past 20 years, I have settled in to living here amongst the hustle and bustle of daily life much better than I had ever expected.
