Surname and FirstName interchanged in DP IPA

Hi,

My wife's DP is approved. But, Surname and Firstname is interchanged in the DP IPA. It's mismatch with old DP. Does it cause any issue with ICA when we travel? Should we correct the name?

Appreciate quick reply.

Thanks,

Yes, a visa with a different name than one's passport can cause a problem, especially when she wants to enter Singapore (or even enter a flight to Singapore, as the airlines do check at check-in). You should contact MoM or ICA immediately to correct the mistake!

Hi @Beppi - Thanks for prompt reply.

It's matching with passport machine readable zone format. but, it's mismatch with old DP format.

example:  Surname : INDIAN
                   FirstName: PASSPORT

old DP : PASSPORT INDIAN

New DP : INDIAN PASSPORT

In Indian passport, Surname field appear first then firstname. It's matching with passport. and It's matching with passport machine readable zone format. Only thing is it's not matching with old DEPENDENT PASS format.

FYI.. Wife is in Singapore.

If the old DP is incorrect and the new application correct, it is enough to write a short message to MoM or ICA informing them of this.
