Hello all,

I am living in Coburg and would like to move to Nuremberg by Feb or March 2020.
My son will be 2.5 years old by Feb 2020 and I am searching for a kindergarten place. Can you please clarify the following questions

1) I have not registered in kita portal. If I register next week still Is there a chance to find a place in kita by end of Feb 2020.

2) How many kindergartens should I register for increasing the chances of getting a place.

Also pls let me know if you have any other useful tips.

Kindergarten registration procedures differ from locatity to locality.
Thus, in case there isn't someone here who can answer specifically about the situation in Nuremberg, you better ask the relevant authorities there.
If your kid is two years or older, you are entitled to child care by law. If and how you can enforce this right also differes, so inquire!
If all else fails, you may also consider private child care options like Tagesmutter.
