HAS ANYONE VISITED AFRICA N WHAT ARE YOUR FEELINGS?

Do share your experience if you have ever visited Africa. We know Africa is not a popular destination but have massive tourism potentials

Africa is either unreported/under reported or negatively reported. I am an African who has been in West, Central and East Africa. I have been to Europe and western part of North Africa and I am resident in the Middle East for almost a decade now. I can conveniently conclude that all the negativities about Africa are over bloated out of proportion by news media while the good sides are never mentioned or under reported.

We lived for 1,5 years in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. I joined my husband who worked there for a small scale irrigation project.
Bahir Dar is nice and green. Has a lake Tana, a nature reservoir from the blue Nile.
I enjoyed my time there. I biked often (also alone). I socialised with many Ethiopian people. They are lovely people: very friendly, polite and helpful.
I had ever trouble with my mobile, a complete stranger just let me use his mobile to call. And I am not the only one who had this experience.
We were sad to leave Bahir Dar, but very soon we are going back to Ethiopia, but not to Bahir Dar.
We are happy to come back.

You are very well on point. Some folks in the west still believe we live on trees in Africa. The point is African govt are not doing enough to project the image of our dear continent.if we dont blow our trumpets,no one will blow it.Should I ask that, how much of African media presence do we have in the West? But will consume all their media contents from newspapers, Radio,TV ,internet etc.And will prefer everything that is imported(including rubbish).
China presence is everywhere in the world, Middleast presence is growing gradually across the world. When would Africa burst out of obscurity?

Nice to read that from you.Sure Ethiopians will be glad to have you back. Thanks for sharing.

Africa is a HUGE place, with a wide range of cultures, mentalities, climates, landscapes and countries ranging from failed state to modern democracy.
I have been to Ethiopia, Tunisia and South Africa - and in these three alone I saw more diversity than in the whole of Europe!

Whoa! U v experienced diversities of Africa in those three countries.if diversities could b harnessed ,it will bring about a whole lot of socio-economic n political changes.

I would agree with Beppi's post.  I have lived and worked in South Africa, Tanzania, Sudan, South Sudan and briefly in and out of Kenya and Uganda.

I live in South Africa and it's a beautiful country and with lots mineral opportunities to invest into.

I've just started a Precious Metals Refinery in my country and still trying to raise capital for large scale Assert Equipment and big volume outright purchases of Gold Concentrate so that we could refine it into bars.

This is a great investment destination.

Africa is a nice place to visit. my job has taken me to three countries in Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, and South Africa and I enjoyed my time there. there are so many good qualities about the Africans that the world is yet to know. I am happy to have been there and I would love to visit Africa again and again because it is a good lifetime experience

I lived 5 years in Africa, Benin ,Cameroon ,Senegal ,Liberia ,Serra leone . in many ways i liked Africa .

I would go back .
