Tax number

Hi!

I've already applied for a tax number thru e-daftar. It was approved after 2 days.


When I input my application number, the status says Approved and there was a reference number given.


My question is what do I do next?

An income tax reference  has two letters followed by numbers. It is used to deduct tax each month by the employer.

But you may only have applied for an online tax account so you can do e-tax filing.

Usually the first employer in Malaysia applies for the income tax number at the time of the first payroll, but the tax office is automating a lot of things these days.
