Can VAL be rejected at immigration?

Hi,

I recently received my VAL to work in Malaysia. I'm planning to go to Malaysia to get my Visa endorsed. However I made several trips in and out of Malaysia to sort out my documents.  2 entries to be exact. I'm worried they will mistake this for visa runs. Is there a chance the immigration will refuse entry even if I present the VAL to them?

Thanks

You need to get a Visa With Reference (VDR) single entry visa from the Malaysian Consulate in your home country. With that in your passport there should be no problems.

If you don't have the VDR? I'm going to Malaysia from another country.

VDR is only way to enter for employment purposes and to get the Employment Pass endorsed in passport if under the Foreign Worker system or Category III Professional EP

The VDR can be obtained in the country where you are currently (either Malaysian consulate or their agreed partner embassy).

If salary is RM5000 per month and above, then Professional EP Category II or I do not require a VDR.

Check process with your prospective employer to be sure. Don't want an expensive fiasco.

Awesome. Thank you
