Hi, I am a grandchild of two Mauritian Citizens. Am I able to apply for a passport even though I was born in Durban, South Africa? If my parents never got theirs?

are your parents (both or only one) Mauritian citizens by birth ? (even though they don't have their passport)

BY DESCENT
A person born outside Mauritius is a citizen of Mauritius under section 20(3) and 23 of the Constitution if either of his parents is a citizen of Mauritius by birth.

Mauritius citizenship by descent is given to only the first generation. If neither of your parents were born in Mauritius, that would make you the second generation.
