Getting back to Malaysia after EP expired.

Hi everyone, I need your advice.

I have some questions that need clarification.

1. My EP expired on May 5th, 2018.
So can I get back to Malaysia again as a tourist on May 12th, 2018?

2. I was hired by an employer in KL on May 2017 and then I had resigned that job since last year. I went back to Thailand without canceling EP. In April 2018, I got an email from my old agency. They sent me an EA form for tax clearance and I already had done that process. I have e-filling now. So I would like to know that once my old EP expired already so does old EP has to cancelled by my old agency or not if I would like to get a new job again after cooling period for 3 months?

You can come to Malaysia as a tourist.

There is only a cooling period if you were category III Professional EP and none if you get a job that is category II (i.e. RM5000-9999)

The agency does need to adjust their database showing you have left or it can block a new application being made

You don't need a No Objection Certificate from your previous employer as your EP has expired.

So should I meet and discuss with old agency about clearing their database I have resigned? If yes I will meet them after I arrived at KL next week.
