Well, "Zim" is normally Zimbabwe, and would be instantly recognised as such by most people likely to be going there. It's like saying "Brit" for Britain.

Wow! Really? Guess we learn something new, everyday. We never never knew that Zimbabweans were globally recognized, and referred to as the Zims, as are the Brits, vis-a-vis, Britainians. Thanks, for that update. Cheers.
