Converting Student Pass to Employment Pass

Hi everyone,

I'm a Vietnamese student, who just finished my degree at a UC in Penang. I got offered a permanent job after finished my internship.

However, a Malaysian agent that was introduced by my classmate said that I have to apply for calling visa, which means going back to Vietnam and wait for my visa. It normally takes months and it's too long for my employer.

Is there any way that I can convert my student pass to employment pass so I can apply for employment without leaving Malaysia?

No you need a calling visa and immigration to approve your hiring. Usually need 2 yrs experience and the job can't be done by a Malaysian.

Immigration don't often approve newly qualified foreigners.
