Hi All,
I am Ashis, relocating to Malaysia on Feb 2018. I am planning to drive Car at Malaysia.
FYI, I have Indian Driving License as of now, do not have time to change it to IDP.
Please advise my below queries:

1. Can I use same Indian Driving License at Malaysia? What is required from Malaysia transport authority, is it any NOC / letter to drive there?

2. Do I require to change it to Malaysia local driving license?

3. Is it possible to buy car at Malaysia with loan? If yes, how is down payment?

4. Is it possible to lease car at Malaysia? If yes, how is the payment? Pls share some link.

Loans may be possible but the downpayment is about 30% of cost price and if you only have a short employment pass the duration of the loan will also be short. Loans only available for some new cars.

Car leasing is one option or rental - http://www.mayflowercarrental.com.my/ Price depends on model of vehicle. Local Protons can be rented from about RM1500 per month
