no need to renew iqama if u want to file final exit.
When u will apply final exit since that day u will get 60 more days to stay u r final exit date will that date plus 60 more days.

But u will have to pay levy or family tax from july 1st till final exit date + 60 more days.

Keep in mind  must pay family tax before iqama renewal and before apply final exit.

A slightly related question if any friend has experience.  Suppose our iqama expires on 11 January 2018. If I apply for exit re entry & select return date option, then it should 4 Jan or earlier. ( 7 days from iqama expiry ) .
My question is how much late you can apply for exit re entry visa.  For example can I apply exit re entry visa on 26 Dec with  return on 4 Jan?

I think you can apply but return date must be before Iqama expire
