There are some specialist sales jobs often based in call centres. These can be associated with BPO. It will be more difficult if you don't have experience such as this, as employers look for direct connection between previous job content and current job description. You may succeed best in the Foreign Worker segment. But you will still require a university degree for office/centre work.

The golden rule from immigration is - if there is a Malaysian who can do the job - they will not grant a work permit. That is why you will need specialist skills.

The main job portal is Jobstreet.

thanks a lot for your kind support and understandings .

Dear Gravitas,

As you said you will need special skills. Can you please suggest me what type of skills I required to get a job there, If I m a computer graduate and did MBA in Marketing and IT.

Appreciate your suggestion.

Software engineering jobs are the most commonly availble and next would be call centres related to IT products and services (although they often require certain language skills). You will need 2-3 years' work experience relevant to the jobs you apply for.

Apart from Jobstreet there is also Robert Walters and Spring Asia. You may seem overqualified for many jobs that might be on offer to foreigners. If your experience is in the financial sector, then efinancialcareers is another portal worth investigating.

At the moment preference is being given to young professionals from ASEAN countries because of the agreements on mobility just having come into force.

Malaysia is developing as a software testing outsourcer and there are jobs available in this sector to cope with the growth.

You may not find the salary levels particularly attractive at the moment. It seems that we are in a phase of cheap labour due to availability of resources.

You might like to send your resume to Scicom (MSC) Bhd. Have a look at their website scicom-intl.com.

Thanks a lot, I will post my CV on the give website.
