Paying bills in Afghanistan

Hello everyone,

What bills do you pay? If you are renting, are bills included in the price of rent, and is this common practice in Afghanistan?

How can you pay your bills (e.g. online, at provider's store, at the post office)? Which is the most convenient or reliable way?

With what frequency are different bills sent in Afghanistan? Are there different deadlines for payment?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

Hello,

You pay for all bills 100% in a cash in Afghanistan. In most of local shops and restaurants even you will not get a bill, you just pay for your food or items. In a big towns you make a contract for the rent. International Organisations pays for the rent for the whole year or for 6 month. they make a bank transfer or give a check to the owner of house. for electricity you will get a bill and you pay in a bank in by cash. You must have a cash available at any time for your running costs in Afghanistan.

Thank you!

Best regards,
