Can you please advise if PR's (permenant residents) are allowed to hold positions on committees and societies in Malaysia and if not what is the ruling on this can you please advise tq

My knee-jerk answer would be yes, as long as they are not political in any way, nor do they expose the individual to dishing out public criticism of Malaysia (PRs can be rescinded). I would scrutinise the constitution of the said bodies to see the T&Cs and suspect that leading a committee would not be possible.
