What level is the language test for French Visas?

Hello everyone!

I am a 26 year old living in France with my partner for about 5 months now. I am wanting to eventually acquire a  carte de séjour vie privée et familiale through pacs and I am wondering what level of French would I need to pass?

I heard to get citizenship you would need to pass DELF B1 or B2 and I think for the carte it is A1? please correct me if I am wrong.

(My French is crazy bad by the way, i think I can JUST get A1)

Thank you everyone

Steph

Hi Steph
To get a "carte de séjour pluriannuelle", the A1 level is required ; for the "carte de résident", the A2 level is required and to get the citizenship, the B1 level (oral) is required.
