Post 9/11 money laundering regulations are same every where in the world.

You may bring in or take out currency or gold up to the value  of   US Dollars 10 000.

On top of this, you may bring as much gold or currency as long as you declare it at the customs of your disembarkation port and get a documentary evidence and also declare at Pakistani customs upon your arrival with a proof of the source and purpose of bringing in gold.

If you are a registered gold ornament manufacturer or retailer in Pakistan, you are legally allowed to import gold under a scheme other than personal accompanied baggage.
