Marcdee:  You need to provide more information on your post....such as type of business, location, at what stage or phase of business planning you're in, resources, etc.   Have you gone through the 10 (at least) planning stages of your business?   Or are you just now deciding what type of business you want to set up?  In that case...check your own Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities that you need to have first.   For example...if you have strong background in the IT field and really good at it...you might want to get in the IT field....in IT technical support, programming, setting up IT for businesses, etc.  If you have strong background in merchandising or Human Resources, etc, that's where you want to focus your business in.  There's a lot more to consider and take care of....but you need to first and foremost...know what kind of business you want to get into....and possess thorough knowledge, the skills necessary...and the ability to manage the product or services you are providing.  Then the location of the business you want to establish.   Some types of business can be more successful in a particular location than others.   So location is important.   And you have to do a "needs" analysis to determine if the location you chose would result in a successful enterprise.  Much work still must be done....but if you already have...you didn't provide enough information on your post.   Help your Expat readers help you in turn...by providing sufficient information so they can provide sound and relevant advice or suggestion concerning your query.   Best of luck to you.
