I talked to my accountant recently and he's told me I can get residency. I own a number of houses and employ lots of workers. I have my own company. I'm Canadian.

Yes, I believe the rule is if you employ 10 workers (it might be 15?) you can get residency. You have to apply for a 1 year permit and stay in the country at least half the year. After five years of that, you can apply for a permit that lasts the length of your passport.
