Can search job if on Tourist Visa

Hi,

I want to know that if anyone is in tourist visa in Malaysia is he eligible to give job interviews?
Will his tourist visa be changed directly to Employment pass by the employer if he gets job

Sure you can job hunt. If they choose to hire you, they can start the visa process and the government can grant it to you while here IF they choose to. It will cost an extra RM500 for "journey performed" work, as if the government went to the embassy in your country and stamped your passport with the work visa. OR, they may require you to first be out of the country before the visa process can happen. But yes you can come and meet anyone you want, no problem. After that you can do whatever they require.

But basically a stupid idea. Hardly anyone gets jobs that way and when they do they get ripped off as offered "local salary". Seen it happen and nothing hurts worse than seeing others paid 2 to 3 times you who were hired properly.

With the Malaysian economy (and rest of world) on the edge now jobs will be scarce as less malaysians will get jobs abroad so bigger supply smaller demand for staff. Unless you are a highly skilled person (and therefore can get a job via overseas application) don't waste your money by coming on a forelorn hope (which historically meant a suicide mission!)

Hi, what kind of job do u have...?
