Hi guys,
In may 2016 I hope to spend at least 90 days in Pattaya..And hopefully if i have a bit of luck to have a job and then I would like to extend the visa.
What type of visa is this called? I am an Irish citizen.

You have 30 days exemption visa on arrival, you can extend it prior to the end by visiting an immigration office of a further 30 days for a small fee 1,900 THB.
Then go to a neighbouring country in a Thai embassy like Lao to get a double entry tourist visa to stay longer ( each entry will give you 60 days, you can extend also ), you will need to leave and re-enter Thailand to activate the 2nd entry )
