Traveling without a civil ID

Hi!
I've never traveled outside jleeb (boring place) without my parents but I may have to soon. Can I do so carrying a copy of my civil ID? My dad won't let me carry the original cause I might lose it.

depends on who stops you; ask your dad this; would he rather you lose your civil ID or get deported for not carrying it? i asked a lawyer once and she said that a copy of the civil ID can work in lieu of the original, however as an expat here i am hesitant to attempt to prove her advice right or wrong.

Ah that's too bad. My dad would not let me go if I say that. But I've lived here for almost my whole life, in 2 years I'll be going abroad for higher studies but before that I'd like to meet actual Arabs.

Nowadays carring Civil ID is a must. Even if you are kuwaiti and not carring ID , police will take you to police station.It is not a big deal if you have a civil id just take it with you.
