Hello,

I'm curious if their are any expatiates working in the software fields of C++, C#, SQL databases in Santiago. I have 17 years of experience in software development. How hard is it to find employment if you are an expatiate? What are the salaries like?

Hi K2 - Did you climb that mountain or is this just your username?
I am a Chilean expat living in Canada and I keep a close eye on Chile's economy and emplyment situation. As far as I know there are lots of opportunities in your specialty, especially for someone with your experience. I say this because I often read job postings in Chile.

I am told that the best way to find employment in Chile is when you are residing in Chile. I am no expert in this field and as far as salaries are concerned they are high by Chilean standards but still below North America.

You have to take into consideration that generally speaking the cost of living is less than the US or Canada.
