Looking for a hospitality/tourism job in Canada

Hi Trill and welcome to Expat.com,

Please note that if you want to work in Canada, you have to meet some important criteria.

I suggest you to download the Canada expat guide which is rich in information.

A few words about your qualifications and experience might also be helpful.

Thank you,

Your first step would be to go to the official government website for Citizenship and Immigration Canada, fill out the online information to see if you qualify for a visa.

www.cic.gc.ca/english

Then you can look for jobs using job search engines like www.monster.ca   or   www.workopolis.com

Just remember that Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver have been the prefered destinations for newcomers to Canada for decades now so they're saturated. Finding work in those cities will be extremely difficult since you'll be competing with all the unemployed local residents and newcomers to Canada for every single job vacancy.

I'd strongly recommend that you concentrate on the Province of Alberta, which is experiencing good growth. Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta are great places to live, the cost of living is lower than many other cities and there is lots of work available all across the entire spectrum, not just skilled jobs.

Cheers,
