Every DIY store has a gardening section with a seed selection.

Might be difficult for lettuce as this is not the season for lettuce.

You can buy ready grown Basil plants in big Tescos unless there's a special reason to grow your own.  You can also buy seeds in Tesco hypermarkets.

Some of the selections here are more limited than other countries - for example there would be 20 tomato varieties in say the UK but only 3 here. Same with most things here in Hungary.

I brought my own seeds from the UK for chilis for example. They grow extremely well here with the warmer summer months.

If you have a car, go to Budaors on the main highway towards Vienna. You'll find everything there. 10 minutes from Moscow Square.
