Hi, I'm moving to Copenhagen from Ireland at the start of November and was hoping to get some advice regarding (1) job hunting, and (2) Danish classes in the evening in the city centre (I'll be living with one Dane and one French person so I'll not pick it up at home!).
(And also pub quizzes and the like in English until I get good at the language 
).

Hi Bronagh,
I can give you some advice about jobhunting and danish classes.
There are two big jobpages on the internet in Denmark, Jobindex.dk and jobnet.dk, both of them are in danish. There is also workindenmark.dk and workincopenhagen.dk (in english).
Danish classes are for free if you have the CPR-number, then you just have to go to the local city council and ask for it. If you dont have a CPR-number, the lessons are not that cheap...
And btw, Danish is not the easiest language to learn
