Lodging+Restaurants+Groceries in Cabarete and south of Cabarete

Canadian expat in progress Planning my 3rd trip down to  Cabarate and must admit i love the Ultra Infinity Resort and its restaurant (great food and great service but a little pricy) and love JANETS Grocery Store.   Does anyone have any other recommendations for the Cabarete and south of Cabarete area for a months lodging right on the beach and groceries in the area?

We stayed at the Imperial/Presidential Suites last year and had a great time. The Imperial Suites are ocean front and the Presidential are on the other side of the main street but there is an elevated causeway over the street. The condo was clean, neat, great view from the balcony. Janet's is hard to beat but we found a little produce seller on the back road that runs from Janet's down to our condo complex.

As far as restaurants go, just walk down beach and you will pass at least 20 or 30, most have the menus posted and somebody outside telling you how good they are. We didn't have a bad meal but some were better than others. One place to hit is the Sunset Grill at Velero Beach, skip the main courses and do some appetizers and whatever your beverage of choice is. There are a couple of high top tables right on the seawall where you can watch the sun set over the mountains and reflecting off the bay.

Thank you Jobie and Les: for the detailed recommendations.

That  local produce seller sounds like the one on the left as one is heading down the little side street going from beside Janets to the Ultra Infinity Resort we love staying at. we will definitely checkout the Sunset Grille at the Velero

If you guys ever need a rental (we have used OK Motors twice and they are reliable and trustworthy and especially their 0 deductable insurance is just that
