Requirements for Moving to the Cook Islands.

Hello Dear Expats,

We are a couple with children from Germany. That lives and work the past few years in Dublin Ireland as Expats. And we think about moving to the Cook Islands.

We would like to ask if you know what are the requirements for moving to the Cook Islands as a German citizen?

Thanks for your feedback and time,
Lea

Hello,

There is no country of origin or nationality requirement. In fact, Cook Islands is kind of like Mexico. Almost all countries nationals are welcome as visitors in Cook Islands and their immigration rules does not discriminate anything special in their rules.
The fact that you now live in Ireland can be of benefit to you though, if you have pets. Because Ireland is the only country in EU, all of Europe that Cook Islands allow pet imports from.

Cheers

Forgot to mention. And it is another benefit to you as Germans.
Germany is the only European country that has on-site diplomatic relations with Cook Islands through a Honorary Consulate on Rarotonga.

Hi ea Geiselmann - a good way to start the research is to ask a real estate agent
