Has anyone ever tried shipping a car from Tz to the US..
If so what company and any idea on a cost?

dear David , i think is better you buy one here for the following reason :
1) tanzania is right hand drive and states in left hand drive
2)used japanese car here are very cheap , spare avalaible and many mechanics know how to fix it.
3) if the car is not a car that is registered inside the Tancis of Tanzania , they have to assest by hand the value and the docs , means more storage of the container in the harbour and more headache.
you can by a small car with same price of the shipping of yours from the states :
google those name and you will have an idea
