I recently moved to Iloilo. Am building a place on Guimaras island nearby.
Just wondering if there is an expat social circle around town ? Or on Guimaras.

Dave, there is a group of Swiss and German expats who meet every Friday afternoon at Langford Place (beside SM Iloilo). Some of them speak English and they are a good group of guys. Just happened to be there last Friday and they invited me to join them. I don't speak a lick of German! Had a good time. They said there used to be a larger group including Americans but guess they couldn't handle the German conversation, lol. They're not sure where or if the Americans meet somewhere else now.

Fairly small no. of expats here, and many are spread out all over the island.
Perhaps a best way to meet some is to go to Bur of Immigration office in Megaworld on a Monday morning and open up what you want to know?
There's a small group who apparently meet once a month but seems low energy. Maybe you can bring some. GL
