Hi people,

Today after being in line in front of the prefecture des Alpes Maritimes from 07am knowing they will only open the door at 09am. I came out of it as a conqueror with my recepissé in hand. What a long morning but the end result is what matters. I already get a job offer and they send me some documents that I need to submit and among them are my social security number and carte Vitale.

Can anybody know how to do that please? What is the next step to follow now??

After preparing this moments for months together with my wife today is a great day for us!!!

Congratulations! Next step is to register with CPAM to get your social security number. It will take them months to give you the number, but in the meantime they'll immediately give you a numero provisoire and an attestation de droits de assurance maladie. You can use the numero provisoire with your employer, the doctor, etc.

According to this page, your employer should help you to register:

If they can't help you, you can find the CPAM in your city and go there to register.
