I do not think there is much time to sight-see if this trip is going to be 1 day. There are some great places to see along the way.
Google maps has that at 503km and 9h51min. That is a very long day on Vietnam's roads.
Perhaps it is best to see out the front windshield, as there is little time to do anything else.
