New: Gatherings and events in India

Hi,

Would you like to have a coffee, organize a dinner or find people for activities in India?

To help you meet people and find outings in India, we launched a Gatherings and Events section in India: you can now follow what's going on in your area and make the most of your time off.

You can also create events and organize a gathering with the Expat.com members.

How to create a gathering?

On the Events in India page, click on “Post an event”.
Fill in the form with the details related to the gathering: date, place, hour… and post your event.

It's now time to invite the other members! You can opt for a public event or a private one (Invitation or Invitation plus).

To send invites, click on “Invite friends” on your event page and select who you wish to invite.

Get informed of who is coming through this page and get in touch with the other members or add pictures of the events in the comments.

A photo album dedicated to the event will then be created.

What do you think of this new feature?

Thanks,

Julien

It's something new. Hope it will be a success. I could hold an art exhibition .

Sounds exciting .

Hello everyone,

@ Meryndah, well the picture is only to illustrate how an event will look like on the website in the Events in India section if you create one.

Do you have some recommendations or hints about a place in Chennai ? It could be interesting to gather some members and organise one there.

cheers
Bhavna

Yes hopefully there will be one in Chennai!

Its some thing new

Hi Aisha,
Sorry about change of subject.
I am Keshav from England. I will soon be retiring. I would like to spend my retirement in Chennai.
A bit of a advice about whereabout in Chennai i should retire without getting bored. Is there any expat community? What are the cost of living? Your view will be greately appreciated.
Thanks
KKKACHA

Anderson Road seems like a nice place to retire in. It's in Nungambankam. And you have the British High Commission next door.

Hi! I would like to meet other expats in Kolkata.. :)
