I am going to be moving to Antigua, Guatemala next month, and I will not be provided health insurance. I am wondering if it is worthwhile to purchase it in Guatemala and if so who is it best to purchase it through? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Is ASISTUR (Asistencia alTurisimo) still up and running? It costs about $1USD per day for the service and provides help with legal and medical issues. Options include life insurance, medical insurance and theft insurance. It can be pourchased at the INGUAT kiosks at the airports in GC, and Tikal.
