Tourist Visa to working visa

Sorry if this has been asked already- Has anyone successfully switched their tourist visa to a work visa while in Vietnam since the new law in January? If not, is it possible to do a visa run to Cambodia and re-enter Vietnam on a business visa? I have seen online that the new law requires people travel back to their home country (America) to get the work visa even if theyre already in Vietnam.

Not sure about tourist visa to working visa but u can do from tourist to business, no need to go back to America just go to Cambodia and come back.... u can get 3months visa just get approved letter.

That depends. Are you talking about a business visa or a work permit? They are different.
