Hi all,
I'm getting ready to move for a new job in All Khobar, its very exciting and I'm looking through all these forums trying to get all the info I can.
I need info on the following...
1. Will the firm pay my salary into a Saudi bank or my own?
2. A descent compound in the area, family moving out eventually.
3. Getting a driving licence.
4. The best clothing to wear for a man working both on-site and office.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Survman,

Welcome to Expat.com.

1. The salary is paid in bank only after you have acquired your iqama and opened a bank account. Until then, they might pay you in form of cash, cheque of direct deposit in your home country account. It'd be wise to tell them what you want.

2. There's many compounded housing ranging between 75-130 K SAR an year. You will have to visit and ask for vacancy. Should you be looking to crash in for a few days Rezayat is not a bad place.

3. If you're on a business visa you can drive with any valid driving license. If you will be here on a work permit you have to wait until you acquire your iqama.

4. A collared shirt and a jeans i assume with safety boots, vest and a helmet.
