Child with Down's Syndrome

Hi there,

My wife and I are considering a move to Copenhagen later this year, or early next year. It has been a dream for some time. 1 year ago our son was born, and shortly after we discovered he has Down's Syndrome. He's a very happy baby, and doing really well - we want to make sure that any move we make doesn't negatively impact his chances for the future.

We are obviously very worried about making sure he gets an excellent education with the necessary additional support. Also, knowing the low number of children born with Down's Sydrome in Denmark, we wonder what the general societal view is of Down's people - both in terms of  attitudes towards people with Down's day to day, and available state support.

Does anybody have any insights they could share?
