School for Type 1 diabetic in CPH

Hi

my child is nearly 3 years old and a Type1 diabetic. I want to understand the kind of support that international schools (preschool as well as primary)  in CPH might offer for his condition?

if anybody has any experience with this would

love to hear.

thanks!

Hi,

The municipality has a duty to ensure safe everyday life for all children which may mean extra support based on a concrete assessment for children with special needs.

However, this is only guaranteed for the public kindergartens.

As far as I could google, the municipality of Copenhagen have be two international kindergartens.

I have found above links which are more or less relevant. It may be difficult to contact the main office in the municipality in writing before you need to have a digital signature. However, you may write an ordinary mail to the local institutions.

I would start to ask the International House about information on their Facebook account.

I suggest that  you contact a random contact address in the first link.  Under other circumstances, I would of course have advised you to contact the main office, but that's impossible as you have to identify yourself with a digital signature.
