I have been living in Portugal, and more precisely in Almada (town located opposite Lisbon), for almost a year. Previously, I was an expatriate in Morocco, I wanted a change of horizon. Why settle in Portugal? I had been there many times as a tourist, and I liked the country. Since the end of the previous year, I have been taking Portuguese lessons, I am struggling quite a bit with both grammar and pronunciation; but it's worth getting involved in this way. Like almost all retirees, I am chasing time. I had been working for several decades in Paris, and I wanted a more serene and calmer life, and it was achieved. I love the sun and I love walking, and I don't deprive myself of it (when my back allows it!). It is undeniable that the language barrier is felt, I hope that in a few months this will fade away.
