I am retired French, with a very average pension...Coming for the first time in 1965 in Rabat, we promised to come back to retire...Death separated us...I came invited by a Moroccan family, I spent almost 3 months with them and I shared the poverty of these people...Doing my best to feed everyone.Coming as a tourist I did not leave...I rented...I helped these people during 4 years old...There were children and it tore my heart to see them hungry. I'm not going to tell their lives; I took care of it a lot...The administration had to give them a sum, we owed them a lot...They bought a house in Marrakech...He, in addition to being a French teacher, he writes poems...I spent a large sum of money and they make no move even though I am seriously ill...But I live alone and I treat myself to a half-day maid...I have been in Morocco for 10 years.4 years in Marrakech and 6 years spent in Agadir.Yes seeing a French person they see a bank...Beware of tricks...Even with an agency. I broke up with my Moroccan friends, I go to the hotel when I arrive from France...or when I leave. I would like to find accommodation not too far from Agadir with a piece of garden for my plants and my turtles...I have two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, shower, toilet and a 70m2 garden. I have the pleasure of eating outside, I will be 70 years old soon. I pay 2500 DH per month, but the owner doesn't take care of anything and I have had to change the taps many times, install the heater ...Some people want to charge the water and electricity meters...Yes, some neighbors can be noisy, especially the women. Don't get involved...I live a bit of a recluse, but in France it was the same...My only family is my maid who has been with me for 9 years...Finally she has her own place...Having had a heart operation, I could no longer stay in Marrakech which is becoming the tourist city par excellence, and more and more expensive...Rent, fruit and vegetables...I don't I don't want a garden to grow...vegetables are cheap.I just made frozen green beans, I paid 5DH per kilo, let's say half a euro...I just made peas a little more expensive 1 euro per kilo.Apricot jam at 7dh per kilo...I walk around the souk almost everyone knows me, I drink tea with my spice merchant...Prices will increase because of Ramadan next month.
