I'm in a theoretically French department ;-) but in reality very far from the idea we have of an DOM! The positive points: smiling people, magnificent landscapes and beaches, diverse fauna and flora little known in mainland France. The negative: dirt, everywhere!! desolate on such a beautiful island; the extreme poverty of the inhabitants, and even more so of the thousands of undocumented Comorians; growing insecurity (burglary with or without violence, attacks which are increasing on beaches and other tourist sites; the cost of living, very high; wild blockades as soon as something displeases!! Radical change of life, it's on!
